APRIL FAVORITES

header

Hello people!
Seems like we’ve a lot of catching up to do. So let’s get started with my April monthly favourites, shall we?

Zara Coat

IMG_9088

I fell in love with this Chanel-esque frock coat from Zara since it effortlessly elevates any outfits and makes you look so chic. It is not very warm though, so it is perfect for spring season. In the picture I was wearing a warm sweater inside since it’s always cold here in The Hague anyway.
I’ve tried to find the link but they don’t have it anymore in this colour. But you can still check their other coats with similar style now at Zara’s webshop!

Fossil – Emma Satchel Bag

fossil

Anyone who follows my instagram or my friends IRL must have noticed that I’ve been wearing this bag non.stop. This is such an amazing leather bag in quality and size. Yes, THE SIZE! I swear it fits everything… My essentials, makeup pouch, my Canon G7X camera, my fat Senz umbrella, and whatnot. It also looks so classic and a little bit preppy which I like: it tones down the whole look and makes the overall outfit be low-key chic. Fossil is an amazing brand for high quality leather goods in quite an affordable price.

Get the bag HERE.

MEMO – French Leather

memo

This is everything I want in a perfume. Imagine you sitting in cosy parisian cafe, there is bouquet of roses on a table, you’re in love and you waiting for your lover, you opening your leather purse grabbing red lipstick. This is MEMO French Leather! MEMO is such an amazing niche brand with superior quality fragrance. What I love the most is their formula: you can smell the scents so solidly since the first spray. There is no “alcoholic” smell at all like all other perfumes, meaning that their perfume oil content is that high. I have mentioned about this brand from my Babassu review here. I decided to get the French Leather since it truly represents my personality: full of contradiction. It’s so hard to describe.. but it has those fresh and floral scents from lime, pink pepper, and rose, yet dark and smooth like brown suede and leather. The scent blends in my skin perfectly and it stays all day long!
The price is quite steep for a 75ml eau de perfume, but I should say it is worth every single penny and I would definitely repurchase once I finish with it. Because that’s how much I love it.

Get the perfume HERE or directly on their website HERE.

Cluse – La Vedette Mesh Full in Rose Gold

cluse

I’ve been looking for a perfect small sized watch that is not too flashy but still look dressy. I tried to purchase the one from Bering at de Bijenkorf but it was completely out of stock 😦 Luckily I’ve found a similar one from Cluse for a more affordable price! And it is also less pinkish which I like because it is more neutral and blends so much more naturally on my skin tone.

Get the watch HERE.

LUSH – Celestial moisturiser

celestial

Hands down. This moisturiser does wonders to my sensitive – dry skin. I ran out of my usual I’m From Vitamin Tree Watergel and my skin was really in need for more hydration. So I then tried this moisturiser from Lush, which I was so scared to begin with because Lush skincare for me is a hit-and-miss, since my face is sensitive to perfume and you all know Lush is so much about that fragrant life. I’ve tried the Million Dollar moisturiser in the past but it just stayed on the surface of my skin and the face still got flakey, so I gave it up. But Celestial is a WOW. This calms my skin immensely that the redness on my skin is so much less now, and it keeps my skin supple and dewy all day long! Another big plus, it’s non-fragranced. Now I can not have a day without it.

Get Celestial HERE.

The Ordinary – Niaciamide 10% + Zinc 1%

ordinary

This skincare line from Deciem has been taking over the internet recently and I can understand why. They offer this straight forward skincare products – mostly serums -with different active ingredients in very affordable prices (I bought this one for only around 6 euro). And they work. I picked this one with Niaciamide, which is a part of vitamin B group, to help lighten my acne scars. We all know Vitamin C is a very effective ingredient to fight with hyper pigmentation, but unfortunately my sensitive skin can not take it 😦 even a low dosage of L-ascorbic acid (the most common vitamin C derivative) can get my skin red, blotchy, and itchy :(( So I opted for Niaciamide instead and it works well! My skin doesn’t react to it and although the progress is not dramatically fast, I can already see some good improvement on my acne scars.

Get the serum HERE.

Walter Benedict

I also found new favourite place to hang out in The Hague! It is a french bistro Walter Benedict at Denneweg. They offer diverse lunch and dinner menu, a nice list of wine, decent coffee, and soothing lounge French music. The interior is so cozy too! It is like a more grown-up hip place 😉

then the last but not least….

Lovewave – 그 밤 (The Night)

Open the link only when you want to fall asleep fast. This is one of those songs that you’d want to listen to during those sleepless nights. Everything in this song is extremely soothing. Give it a try!

MY HAIRCARE ROUTINE

Hello there! I actually have prepared this post since 2 weeks ago but I’ve been super super busy so I apologise for the delay. As you all notice I had been rocking pink hair for awhile. A lot of people asked me what I do to take care of my coloured hair. So I think it is the time to share you my secret ❤

I use multiple products to keep my hair on point, to be honest it’s such a chore but I have to do what I’ve got to do, right? Let’s get started then!

1. SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER

bb

Having coloured hair means that I have to be extra picky when it comes to washing my hair. Some shampoos can wash the colour out rapidly than others. Choose products that are labeled as “colour safe”. I use Bumble and Bumble shampoo and conditioner, they work pretty well on cleansing and moisturise my hair with minimal colour bleeding. The blend of 6 different oils in this particular line helps to detangle my hair, which was also an issue with I always have with my hair. However, I like this shampoo and conditioner but I’m not that obsessed with them. I will probably switch to Oribe Signature shampoo and conditioner after I finish with this one.

I purchased them in Gould Kappers in Den Haag. It is a hair salon that exclusively using Bumble and Bumble products in their salon. It is actually located just right across Hug The Tea from my previous blog post! 😀 But if you don’t live in Den Haag, you can also get Bumble and Bumble products here.

2. DETANGLING SPRAY

matrix

After washing my hair, before start brushing it I always spray my hair with this detangling spray from Matrix. Although my hair is already pretty smooth from the conditioner, I still need this spray, I will never try to brush my wet hair without it!! It makes my life so much easier. It’s non sticky and does not smell too strong. I got this spray from here.

3. HAIR OIL AND HAIR MASK

ns

If you’ve been with me for a while you must be familiar with these ones. I’ve mentioned them many times already in my previous posts. The main ingredients of this line from Natura Siberica is sea-buckthorn oil. So I apply the hair oil only at the tip of my hair while it’s still wet. I also use the hair mask every week in place of my conditioner to give that extra repaire boost! You can get Natura Siberica products here.

4. LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER

rnb

This is a holy grail product. This ultra-rich cream is so amazing to moisturise the dry and frizzy parts of your hair like, in a blink of an eye! I apply it anytime on dry hair, when I’m in tram, at home watching series, of before i go out just to make sure my hair looks shiny and extra healthy. A little bit goes a long way though! So be careful not to be carried away or you’ll end up like a greasy mess :)) Get the product here.

5. IT’S ALL ABOUT THE VOLUME

oribe

Oh yes, whenever I want to have an extra “oomph” for my hair, make it extra volumious and va-va-voom, I will use this dry texturizing spray by Oribe. You can also use it as a dry shampoo, with an extra volume (who doesn’t want that?!). The downside is that it is so expensive. I have mine in travel size for €22, and €44 for a full size. If you are in the Netherlands, you can get Oribe products here.

MY PINK HAIR

By the time I’m typing this, I actually have just dyed my hair dark again. However, you all know I had been rocking dark pink hair for quite a long time. I’ve got often asked how did I get my hair done, and the truth is I did everything all by myself.

I have a natural dark brown hair just like any other Asian people, so I had to bleach by hair first. After bleaching then I apply semi permanent hair colour diluted with any white conditioner. Here goes the fun part. You can mix any colour in order to reach those unique colour that you desire. For my signature hair colour I mixed La Riche Direction in Tulip with a liiiitle bit of Dark Tulip, resulting in dark, purplish pink.

direction

The result:

zMY HAIR 1

zMY HAIR 2

I purchased all my hair colouring products from Pro Duo, a retail chain for hair salon supplies, which is located near my house.

Unfortunately, the colour will always washed out every time I wash my hair, that made me have to re-color my hair every 2 weeks. And that is the main reason why I decided to go back to dark hair, as I don’t have time to do that anymore.

So, that’s it for my haircare routine. I know it’s quite complex but I love the fact that my hair still feels quite healthy despite all the chemical processes it had been through. So if you ever wish to get your hair coloured (like a unicorn…), prepare yourself for giving your hair those extra treats to keep it healthy and happy!

Thank you for reading and see you on next post!
If you have any question you can always drop in the comment section below, I’d be happy to help 🙂

FEBRUARY FAVORITES

I’m back with monthly favourites! A little bit delayed, but I hope you don’t mind 😀 let’s start now with:

becca1

becca2

becca3

Becca x Jacclyn Hill Face Palette
You know how tons of women out there have been loving Champagne Pop highlighter, a Becca collaboration with Jaclyn Hill. Now it has come even better, in a full face palette! I got myself this gorgeous palette in Sephora in Paris last December. It is such a good value for money since you get five gorgeous shades in one palette, including the Champagne Pop highlighter! Honestly, I only wear highlighter for special occasion or photoshoots, since I am an advocate for naturally glowing skin. Hence for daily use, I find myself reaching for the shade Amaretto most of the time and I use it as an eyeshadow. It is the most flattering shade for my skin tone and eye color! But honestly, you can use all the shades here as blushers, highlighter, or eye shadows. Very very versatile. That’s why I like it so so much. The pigmentation is amazing and the formula is soft and easy to blend.

Get the palette here.

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum
In February my skin got super super dry and tight, I could always manage it by using my usual skincare routine. But I then remembered that I hadn’t always been using this Klairs serum, so I tried to incorporate this serum regularly every day and it has made such a HUGE difference to my skin! My skin loves hyaluronic acid, it is an amazing component that will deeply hydrate, secure moisture inside your skin, making it so plump and glowing. Thanks to its unique ability to hold in moisture (1000 ml of water per gram of hyaluronic acid). I can’t recommend this serum enough. I love my glowing skin. It is also suitable for all skin types, taking into account that it works even on my sensitive skin.

You can get this serum from Wishtrend. Use code 0813925911 when creating a wishtrend.com account and receive $5 to spend on anything at WISHTREND!

Swarovski Energic Pierced Earrings
I received this beautiful pair of earrings from my husband on Valentine’s day 🙂 Therefore they mean a lot for me, and I’ve been loving wearing them. They are gold plated, warm toned, and the crystals reflect the light beautifully.

tea.jpg

I’ve been obsessed with rose products lately, including this absolutely delicious Rose tea from Yogi Tea. Tasted so good, luxurious, and calming at the same time!
If you live in Holland you can always find Yogi tea at any supermarkets. But you can also get the tea here.

zeep.jpg

Lush shower gel
I love my Lush shower gel/cream collection. But this one is my absolute favourite (and my husband’s too!). We almost run through it, that shows how much we’ve been loving it. It is hard to describe its smell…it’s a rich combination of floral, exotic fruit, and sandalwood! My way to express it is, it smells “warm and sensual”. It almost feels like I am being hugged. Okay, sorry if it doesn’t make any sense but try it yourself, you’ll know what I mean.
Get the shower gel here.

And lastly….

For the month of February I’ve been loving this Japanese dorama “Rakuen” (means: Paradise). As you know, my favourite genre is thriller, mystery, suspense, and crime. This dorama includes them all. It only consists of 6 episodes, so it’s short and will never get you bored. The start will be a little bit confusing and all over the place, but trust me, they will all be connected and you will be so curious about what will be happening next.

Here is the synopsis of Rakuen:

An incident is talked about all over Japan. The case involves the Doisaki couple that killed their 15-year-old daughter and hid her body under their house for 16 years. One day, housewife Toshiko Hagiya visits Shigeko Maehata (Yukie Nakama) who works for a small editing company. Toshiko tells Shigeko that her 12-year-old son Hitoshi might have a special ability to see other people’s memories. She pulls out a picture drawn by Hitoshi. The picture has a girl with a grey colored face lying in a house that has a bat shaped weather vane on its roof. The picture seems to depict the incident involving the Doizaki couple. Shigeko decides to do some research, but Hitoshi dies in a car accident. Meanwhile, the attorney for the Doisaki couple tells their second daughter Seiko that the couple has cut off all ties with her. Around that time, a female high student is confined.

Okay, is it enough to get you curious? 😀 watch it yourself, and after you finish watching it, the title “Paradise” will eventually make sense.

That’s it for February favourites! Thank you for reading my blog and hope it is useful and informative 😀 See you again soon,

WINTER PAMPER ESSENTIALS

The real, freezing cold winter is finally here and it is the best time of the year to stay cozy at home, snuggle in warm and fluffy blanket, drink hot chocolate, and do a movie marathon 😀 I am that person that normally feels lazy to take shower in the winter (oops… you got me), but I’ve found the best way to motivate myself better! Now I am such a hoarder for body care products. I take my shower routine seriously, making it a blissful experience  without having to have a bath. I will show you my top favourite products for pampering myself during this colder months, making me smell ultra amazing, and improving my quality of winter life in general :))

Now grab your blanket, get yourself cozy, and keep reading.

pine-soap1

pine-soap2

This is a handmade pine soap from Natura Siberica. The smell is A.MA.ZING. It takes you immediately into a deep deep pine forest where the delicate snow keeps falling from the sky… You are welcome.
Get the soap here.

mulberry

mulberry-2

This Tsar Mulberry, is the best body scrub I’ve ever tried. The scrubs are made of grinded pine nutshell, how amazing is that?? I can really feel the scrubs polishing my skin in such a perfect intensity, not too soft, but not too harsh. It smells like berries but not too sweet, rather delicate yet delicious!
Get the body scrub here.

ros1

ros2

So after the soap and the scrub, I use this Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner from Lush. It is practically a body butter but you use it under the shower. It really makes my skin super duper soft and moisturised after shower that I don’t even need to apply body lotion afterwards! It is that amazing that I HAD to buy it in half a litre size! It smells like roses but in a yummy way 😀
Get the body conditioner here.

handcreme

Natura Siberica is one of my favourite brands, okay? :)) I’ve already mentioned this beautiful hand cream in my previous post. Leaves my hands super hydrated without feeling greasy, and the smell is indescribable… not like any typical berry smell. More wintery, more crisp, yet beautiful.
Get the hand cream here.

lip-balm

Winter is an eternal enemy for dry lips. Protect and seal your lips with this beautiful Baume de Rose from By Terry. I already wrote a review on this product on this blog post. Legit the best lip balm I’ve ever tried.
Get the lip balm here.

The last thing that you should not forget to keep you cozy in this season is….

candle

A nice scented candle. I love the smell of woods (sandalwoods, cedar woods, mahogany, pine woods) and amber for months January-February. It really brings such a  warmth into the room. You can basically get this kind of scented candles from various shops. I got mine simply from H&M home.

Trust me, every time I finish my shower , I always smell super amazing as if I just came out of a spa! 😉

So…that’s it for now! And are you still there in your blanket? Now get up and treat yourself a nice, luxurious, warm shower. It’s good for your body and mind :*

Stay pretty,

xxHegia

JANUARY FAVORITES

Hello!

I’d like to announce that starting now I will have this Monthly Favorites segment, showing things I have been into or loving so much in that month. It can be anything from beauty items to lifestyle, product reviews and recommendations!  I love watching this type of segment so much by my favourite Youtubers out there, and I think why not doing the same thing here on my blog? 😀 So, without further ado, let’s GO!

Agenda 2017agenda1

agenda4

I purchased this agenda from Sissy-boy, how i can be more Dutch than this? :))) But I indeed really need an agenda that has monthly overview and daily columns as well. It has made my life so much easier and organised. There are also blank pages for every week and it allows me to write down my other necessities like shopping lists and blog plans. The size of this agenda is also perfect, not too small that I can barely write anything or too big that can not fit in my handbag.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
armani

Finding the perfect foundation has been quite a journey for me. I want my foundation to still look like skin: natural finish that still allows my skin to breathe but still covers some of my imperfections if needed. I’m always so careful to try new brands since I have an acne-prone skin. Last year I had used my Hello Flawless! from Benefit up but even though I loved how it makes my skin super glowy, it oxidised so much and broke down easily during the day. I then switched to Klairs BB cream, which i liked a lot, but the shade (sadly they only came up with one shade!) did not seem quite right. So after doing my research, I ended up with this foundation from Giorgio Armani and YASS… now I understand why it has become a cult favourite. It feels so light on my skin, and it glides on soooo… smoothly like a dream. The finishing is silky and luminous (like its name) with a medium coverage that is buildable and non-cakey, perfect for my dry skin. The staying power is also quite impressive. I wear it all day to work and still looks good at the end of the day, no colour breakdown like Benefit’s one does. It also came out in plenty of shades so there is always something for everyone. I myself use shade number 4, and purchased it from de Bijenkorf.

Secret Key Lemon D-Toc Peeling Gellemon1

lemon2

I can not stress more the importance of skin exfoliation! Unfortunately my sensitive skin can not handle grainy types of exfoliator quite well (and truth is, that abrasive method is not so good for your skin!). So as I explained on my skincare routine post before, I use low concentration AHA and BHA exfoliants instead. But in some days my skin gets extra dry and flaky, which makes my makeup application so difficult to be smooth. And somehow it happened a lot in January as the weather has gotten super cold here. So I rubbed this peeling gel on my face and then rinse it off with water just before I apply my makeup on and the dead skin flakes went away like no one’s business! After that I can smear my foundation so smoothly. It is so gentle on my skin and no irritation whatsoever. It contains lemon, aloe vera and witch hazel extract, and some different vegetable extracts. I actually bought this last year when I was in Indonesia and re-discovered its magic just recently 😀

By Terry Baume de Rose Nutri-Coleur baume

baume-lips
Left: bare lips, Right: after application

First thing to say, I never in my life bought a lip balm as expensive as this one from By Terry. BUT, there is price and there is quality. I’ve read a lot of good reviews about Baume de Rose online, and had a high hope about it when I decided to give it a try. I am that person that always put lip balm on before bed, before makeup, and any time in between, since my lips are naturally so dry and chapped (even in humid environment). I have tried many brands I could find under the sun, but always end up with Vaseline. That’s until i tried Baume de Rose. Seriously, it is that amazing. Even better than Vaseline. It’s not like those lip balms that feels just like butter sitting on your lips doing nothing, or oil that sinks and then gone. I will try to explain how it feels even though it might sound a bit weird: Baume de Rose works like a “glue” that keep the skin of your lips intact, elastic, and solid. Not like Vaseline that I always need to slather it on in a thick layer every time, you’d only need a tiny bit of Baume de Rose and it’s enough. The tint – I have in Bloom Berry – is also more pigmented than I thought it would be. I will definitely repurchase it again! If you are living in Holland, you can order it online at Babassu (ps: they have a huge collection of niche-luxury beauty brands! You’ve been warned ;))

Lush Fresh Face Mask – Love Lettucelush1

lush2

You know how much I love Lush fresh face mask. For this January I’ve been in love with Love Lettuce one. It contains lavender to help balance my skin out, clay for deep cleansing, and chlorophyl with all its goodness. After leaving it for 20 minutes and rinse if off with water, my skin feels so soft and buttery. I find this effect very common in Lush mask products. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don’t. BUT, since my skin gets very dry this month I find this effect very lovely and it doesn’t break me out. There are some almond grains in the mask that you can massage and exfoliate your skin with, but since I am not a big fan of scrubs, I skip the exfoliating massage thing 😀 I would recommend this mask for people with all skin types since it is so versatile and leaves your face as soft as baby skin!

and then….the last favourite of the month is……

GOBLIN!!! (The Lonely and Great God)

goblin

I’m a big fan of Asian drama series, although I tend to watch a not-so mainstream one. I watch mostly thriller, mystery, and crime dramas. But sometimes I like to watch the popular ones, like this Goblin. The storyline is okay, but the cinematography is seriously pleasing, the acting of all the actors are convincing, and of course, the bromance comedy here and there makes this drama so entertaining to watch.

goblin2

I have a feeling that the director should have directed many music videos before since all the shots and sets were so aesthetic. But all of those still can not be complete without the beauty of Gong Yoo ❤ He’s like a Greek god statue but in Asian form :))) The drama has just ended recently and we are all left so happy with everything that happened!

So that wraps the post of things I’ve been loving in January. Hope you find this useful in some way. How about you? What was your favourite thing in January?

xxHegia

My Winter Skincare Routine

Merry Christmas, everyone!!! I hope you had an amazing time with loved ones 🙂

Firstly I’m sorry for the late update, I was working on something really urgent and it was apparently taking so much of my time and effort 0_0 And also, I was in Paris last week for 5 days. So.. my life has been a hustle bustle these days. But I like it so it’s fine!

Now… Let’s go to my winter skincare routine! (Beware, it will be a freakin’ long post)

Yes, I use so many products since I have converted to the Korean layering skincare regime. And yes, I do invest a lot on my skin care. Because for me, having a good skin is my priority. Let’s say I will not feel pretty even when I wear the prettiest dress if I have breakouts.

I had always used prescribed skincare from Natasha (if you’re Indonesian you must know this brand) and it had been going well through warmer days here in Holland, until……last October. When the weather suddenly got so much drier and colder, I started to break-out with rashes on my cheeks which is VERY unusual since I never broke-out there ever before. And my usual creams just irritated my skin even more. I was devastated T_T I used to have such clear and glowing skin! I then tried different products such as of Paula’s Choice, Sudocrem (because I thought the rash could be cured by this, but NO), and other random natural products. My skin only got worse… The breakout still lasted for almost 2 months until…

a ray of light came since I watched Wishtrend on Youtube (you REALLY need to check them out. They are seriously a gem.) and I finally understood why my skin had acted that way. The main reason is because it was extremely dehydrated and clogged with dead skin cells!!! That’s why what I need the most is HYDRATION and MOISTURE. They are different but they work together creating the barrier to protect your skin. Without this barrier, your skin get irritated easily and prone to rash and pimples, just like what I just experienced. To better understand, watch the video here. Another thing, you should also know that as you grow older, your skin cell turn-over gets slower and slower. But dead skin must go away! The problem was, how to get rid of them without having to do an abrasive exfoliation that will only irritate my dry skin even more? The answer is the combination of gentle chemical exfoliants: AHA and BHA.

I then did a HUGE haul from Wishtrend, and tried their products myself. Please note that I bought them with my own money, and whatever I write here is based on my honest opinion alone.

So now I will break down the steps I do for my skincare. And yes, I use all of them layer by layer even though they look like a lot of work. But they indeed work. My skin has starting to clear up only within 2 weeks! Now I only have a little bit of acne scars (I used to pick my pimples before I use Wishtrend products and it was a big NO NO, don’t touch your pimples!!) but they are easy to cover with a bit of concealer. And they are way easier to heal than of course, any active acnes.

This is the photo of my skin before-after, NO editing/filter:

before-after

CLEANSING
For me, double cleansing is a must. cleansing

  1. Klairs Gentle Black Cleansing Oil – is amazing on removing my makeup including my waterproof mascara. And it doesn’t sting my eyes! This is the best oil cleanser I have ever tried so far, and will keep using this forever. I use this oil only at night if I wear makeup on that day.
  2. Klairs Gentle Black Sugar Charcoal Soap – I use this immediately after the cleansing oil and it does a freaking good job to make my skin clean and feel super clean! I use this both morning and night.
  3. Klairs Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish – I only use this once a week since it is a physical exfoliator. Mix it with the cleansing oil to make it even gentler. I actually use this very rarely since I tend to avoid physical exfoliator. I only use this when I reaaallllyyy need that scrubby feeling.

MORNING SET
Layering order: Left to rightmorning-routine

  1. Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner – HANDS DOWN. THE-BEST-TONER-EVER. The hype is real, guys. This stuff is amazing. This toner is very hydrating, very moisturising, very soothing, and it feels very good on my skin. The texture is thicker than water, it feels more like an essence. I prefer this to the SK-II wayyyy more. And you can also use this toner as serum. I put this toner 2-3 layers on and let my skin soaked in moisture. A holy grail.
  2. Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum – This is packed with hyaluronic acid which is amazing to maintain the moisture in your skin. But to be honest, I like the toner better than this serum. So I usually layer my toner twice or three times and skip this serum 😀
  3. Face Stockholm Seaweed Eye Cream – This is a very cooling and soothing eye cream!
  4. COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid – Exfoliation is extremely important, even though you don’t need to do it everyday. This BHA gel is very gentle, it uses betaine salicylate to help exfoliate from deep inside your pores. Hence avoids the formation of blackheads and prevents the pores from getting clogged. I love this 1000x better than Paula’s Choice one. I’m sorry Paula…but your BHA products just irritated my skin even more 😦
  5. I’m From Vitamin Tree Water Gel – I love this moisturiser!! So light and soothing and hydrating. The main ingredient is sea-buckthorn (oblepikha) water which is packed with a lot of good minerals and vitamin C, B, and E. I’m obsessed with anything sea-buckthorn. I use a lot of sea-buckthorn based products from Natura Siberica and I LOVE LOVE LOVE.
  6. Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream – This cream has a perfect balance of moisture and oil in it. You can not go wrong with this one!
  7. Lush Million Dollar Moisturiser – I think this is the best moisturiser from Lush if you have a very dry skin. It feels so luxurious, like putting a warm blanket on your skin, and it smells divine. It gives your skin an instant glow. And the best part is it has SPF30! So I will skip sunscreen if I use this. However I only use this moisturiser when my skin feels extremely dry since it’s quite a heavy cream.
  8. Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion SPF 40/PA++ – I ditched my Kiehl’s sunscreen (I loved this so much in the past) for this lotion, since this one is better in any ways! It protects, brightens, primes, and even calms my skin down! Thanks to the blue chamomile in it. So I’m not scared to wear this lotion even in time when I have breakouts.

NIGHT SET
Layering order: Left to rightnight-routine

As you see some products are just the same with the ones I use in the morning. So here I will just add the extra products that I apply only at night.

4. 23years old Badecasil Cream 7 in 1 Solution – This is an amazing AHA exfoliating product. It contains glycolic acid that helps to get rid of the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. Firstly I was afraid that this product would just produce more dry flakes on my skin but it was the other way around! How do I say this…it seems like this cream eats the dead skin cells away!? I wake up the next day with smoother texture on my skin! Like magic 0_0 But please beware, if you’re new to chemical exfoliants please use it only 1-2 times a week, and then you can build your skin’s resistance up little by little! For me I use it around 2-3 times a week.

5. Lush Skin’s Shangrila – This moisturiser is packed with good oil and refreshing vodka (YES!) to help brighten and firm your skin. I use this sometimes, not always. Only in time when in need the extra boost of moisturization!

6. Enca AC Drying Pinky Powder – I use this on pimples when I have breakouts. It helps to reduce the size and the redness overnight. It is actually very similar to Mario Badescu drying lotion one. But unfortunately I can not find this product on Wishtrend site anymore I don’t know why 😦 But there’s another alternative here.

PIMPLE CARE

My pimples are of milder type, but they are still pimples and I hate them to death. When I am patient enough, I use the pinky powder and they will go away in a week time. But when I can’t stand anymore, I execute extract them myself. These are what I use:

acne

I extract my pimple using the pimple extruder until it has nothing left inside, and then I cover the spot using the acne patch and leave it overnight. The next day I remove the patch and the spot is completely flat. This acne patch from COSRX is very good! It’s way better than the Nexcare one which is very popular, IMO.
And whenever I need an extra calming and soothing after extraction or just any kind of irritation, I apply this Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream at night and then the next day the redness is gone.

EXTRA CARE

mask

I believe in the power of face masks. And LUSH fresh face mask is life. Lush offers a lot of different masks that can fit to any of your specific needs. For me, I find Cupcake and Catastrophe Cosmetic suit my skin best. And this fresh face mask is better used in combination with their serum Full of Grace. It boosts the softening effect to your skin!

  1. Full of Grace – It is a solid serum made of amazing combination  of butters and essential oils that will melt immediately on your warm skin. Apply this on your clean and dry face before applying the face mask!
  2. Catastrophe Cosmetic – It helps calming, soothing, cleansing, and hydrate my skin at the same time. It’s a versatile mask and suitable for all skin types!
  3. Cupcake – This mask is made of chocolate! YASSSS…. It leaves my skin super soft and protected, thanks to the cocoa butter in it.

In general, I use the mask 2-3 times a week.

YEAH…finally this post has come to an end! Quite a long post, right? I can talk non stop if it’s about skincare :)) But apart on what you put on your skin, don’t forget to drink enough water, have enough sleep, eat more fibre, and….CHILL, ladies. Stress is a bitch. But I know we can’t avoid it sometimes, especially during winter time… but well, just try to always be happy and do what you love! Like me writing this blog 🙂

Stay pretty,
